Biographies

Hi my name is Elizabeth, I’m 11 years old and I live in Swanzey, NH.
I have been around miniatures since the day I came home from the hospital.
I started showing miniatures with my Mimi’s horse Slick.
We then found my favorite horse Millie, I
have been showing her for about 5 years now.
A few years ago we were able to build a barn at our house so Millie
and my mom’s horse Patches live with us.
 I love my miniatures!!

Hi my name is Raven and I love horses, especially Miniature Horses.
I have 10 Minis and 1 Quarter Pony. I don't have any Shetland Ponies,
but I would like to have a Modern Pleasure pony one day.
I have been showing Miniature Horses since I was 3, for about 8 years of my life.
I think all of the classes are fun, but my favorites are Hunter, Jumper, and Liberty.
I have made so many friends that I can't count them.
A lot of trainers have helped me.
When I grow up I want to be a horse trainer and a veterinarian,
all I know is that I want to be involved in Miniatures for the rest of my life.

My name is Madison Brown and I am 7 years old.
My babysitter Rebecca Radford helped me get started showing miniatures when I was 4!
I currently show my trainers horse Double B Farms Vandy Man and
my horse Ms. Waltzine Matilda. Last year Vandy and I won National's in our
hunter class -- we were very excited. I live in MO and have 2 older brothers,
RJ is 17 and Devin is 14. I started taking riding lessons last fall
so I can learn to ride big horses.
I love showing miniatures and meeting new friends at all the shows!
Vandy and I won the 2007 Youth Horse of the Year!!

Through my horses I have learned that I can do anything if I but put my mind and heart into it. I have learned courage, commitment and dedication. I have learned to deal
with disappointed with integrity and to win with honor.
These characteristics have been taught to me through working with
and showing my horses.
I am honored to have been chosen to represent the
ASPC/AMHR as the 2007 registry queen. Thank you very much!

Hello, my name is Ayla. My life revolves around horses.
It must have started when I took my first ride at 3 days old!
Guess you could say I am obsessed!
My goals are to win Nationals Honors with AMHR
and to make it to the 2019 Pan Am's and the
2020 Olympics in Dressage. Our family has shown Miniature horses for years.
We also breed them and teach kids with the minis. They are absolutely the best!
My gelding Patches is a true ambassador for the breed.
Besides showing Miniature horses, I ride dressage,
do vaulting, write, draw and train goats.
I want to Thank everyone at ASPC/AMHR for having a great program for
the youth that teaches, recognizes acheivements and helps to introduce
the youth to other youth through the Youth Programs.

Jesa Spry here... How are you?
I have been involved with horses since I was 3.
My first Nationals was when I was 6. My family showed in lots of classes.
My sis, Ayla and I won Reserve Champion Costume with Patches.
The show and the people were Great! We show, breed, train and share our mini's.
We take them to hospitals, nursing homes and childrens centers.
We also run a rescue for them(M.O.M.) Currently we have 16 mini's.
Most have been shown...eventually, all will have show records.
Riding (jumping) singing, acting and modeling are my other favorite things to do.
I have done a TV pilot and have done many plays. In one of the plays,
Patches our gelding was cast also! I won the Daniel Langfield award and
was 4th in Jr. Judging. It will be fun to keep joining in the programs thru AMHR.
Thanks to everyone who works so hard for us kids!

My name is Nina. I love my pony! My ponies are George,
Sugar Momma and Domino. I like to show my ponies.

Hi my name is Nick Ward. I am 11 years old and I live in Delaware, Ohio. Actually,
I was born in Stanford, California near San Francisco.
I was born with a condition called achondroplasia.
It's where my bones don't grow as long in my arms and legs as the
rest of my body, and my spine squishes my nerves in my legs.
Unfortunately, I've had to have 13 surgeries, but that's okay because I'm still able to walk.
I got my first mini three years ago, then just this week
we bought Midnight Express from Denise Hardesty and
I can't wait to show him! I know we are going to win a
lot of ribbons together and hopefully next year I'll get to show him at Nationals!
Arlene Foulk is my awesome trainer and hopefully she
can teach us everything we need to do great.
I have made a lot of new friends this year at horse shows
and I can't wait to see them again soon.
Thank you to everyone who helped us this year,
especially Arlene Foulk, John and Diane Taylor, Getitia and Les Matheny,
Ernie Lambdin, Allison Daulton and especially Denise for selling us Midnight Express.
