The Youth Foundations purpose is to encourage all of the youth in our
association to become active within their own community. We encourage
interaction between the youth and their small equine and their community.
Our goal is to reward the youth for being a civic-minded person and to
promote small equine.
This foundation is entirely funded with donated monies and fund raising
events that are put on by the youth. The Foundation will be actively
working with all of the Area Clubs so that all youth members will be
eligible for awards and recognition. The youth will be awarded for
their achievements. Youth must be a youth member of the ASPC/AMHR.
A list of possible achievements has been created. New achievements
can be added at anytime to the list. Once an achievement is
completed then the youth will be sent a merit pin or badge. Once
the youth has completed 6 achievements then they will receive a
special jacket to put their awards on. This jacket will have a year
on it. The youth can take longer than one year to earn the jacket.
Once the youth has been awarded the jacket they can become a
"Youth in Good Standing" by completing 3 achievements within a year.
They will receive a badge to place on the arm of the jacket with the
year. Achievements will only be rewarded once in a year but can be
awarded again in another year.
Possible Achievements:
* Show at two non-rated shows (4H, local, or fairs) or show at three
ASPC/AMHR rated shows.
* Attend three 4H Meetings
